VEHICLE WEIGHING APPLICATIONS |
| The flexibility of the 7XX series makes it the ideal
product for use in all types of vehicle weighing from portable axle
pads through to a fully automated unmanned weighbridge, meeting all
trading standards and highway department requirements. |
| Program Description |
Application 777 |
Application 788 |
| A 788 software application
to fully automate an unmanned weighbridge.
The program provides the ability to store truck registration number, company details and pre-set tare weights within the indicator to provide ease of recall for drivers. As the driver approaches the weighbridge for the first weighing, the indicator ensures the weighbridge is at the centre of zero. Once the truck has been driven onto the weighbridge, proximity switches ensure all axles are on the weighing platform. The program then prompts the driver to enter the truck registration number and company details or alternatively recall them from the indicators database. Copies of the first weight ticket are printed for both the driver and office records. On
return for second weighing the same procedure is repeated. The driver
is prompted to recall the first weight details, by selecting
the truck registration from a list that the indicator has stored.
Final tickets are printed for both driver and office records and all
details are sent to Microsoft Excel. The program check that the data
has been safely transferred to the PC and if any fault is found the
indicator prompts the user to contact the site supervisor and will
resend the unsent data after the PC link has been checked and a password
has been entered. The information can be accessed from a remote office
via PC.

Application 777 |
Application 788 |
| A 777/788 software application for weighing trucks
in motion.
This programme has two modes of operation, automatic and manual. In the automatic mode the system waits for a truck to pass across the axle platform and then prints a ticket with each individual axle weight and a total of all the axles. In the manual mode – the Application should be manually started before the truck passes across the axle platform. The user is then prompted to enter the full text details which will be printed onto the ticket, instead of the blank fields to be filled in by hand that would be printed in the manual mode. The maximum number of axles that can be accommodated is eleven and the average truck speed should be no more than 5 km/hour. | Click here to download the free 14 day trial program (File size: 46kb) |

This
truck weighing mirror system is very simple but effective. It is an
unmanned system that can be used by the driver, out of the window
of a truck. After the truck is driven onto the weighbridge the driver
pushes a key which makes the 788 display 10 customer names on the
screen. There is one name that relates to the each of the 10 soft-keys
on the side of the indicator display. The driver can then do 3 things:
1: Choose a name by pressing a soft-key 2: Get the next 10 names by pressing another soft-key. 3: Search for a name by pressing a letter. After Choosing a name, the indicator asks the driver for a container number. The 788 will now save and update the other 788 indicator at the other end of the weighbridge. When the truck has been unloaded and returns to the weighbridge the first weigh information is displayed in the indicator and the driver simply presses the soft key relating to the first-weigh you have made earlier. The final weigh-data is saved and the other 788 updated. The data can then be sent to a PC. After each weighing has taken place the 788 will send a ticket label to a printer. For extra reliability the program also has the option of restoring data if for some reason it is lost whilst being sent between the two indicators. |
